OpenCollar 3.990

13/10/2014

We are happy to announce OpenCollar 3.990

This version concludes the 3.9 API era and will be the last of its kind.

For 3.990 our goal was to supply a very polished version that could last us for a few months while we submerge and work on more complex and demanding tasks for improved authorization handling, global services and universal protocol. Like every whole version release, this one too has fewer scripts, however more features added. RLV now also includes dedicated Touch and View features (the latter being blotted out for now until RLV 2.9 APIs are also part of the popular mainstream viewers).

The @versionnum=293847 query on logins with RLV de-activated in the viewer got a better tweak, now you can turn it off and it won't require to time out first. Should you desire to not to run RLV in the viewer itself, just keep in mind to turn RLV "OFF" in the collar menu as well, then there will be no @versionnum=293847 right away.

We also included the majority feedback requests received since 3.980. These were mostly small things to polish, like better information on certain menu calls or re-instated replace/all features for folders. Feedback was helpful and constructive this time and was highly appreciated. Thank you!

The bell includes a touch feature, it will ring if touched and not necessarily constantly while you walk, unless you set it to "ON", so as long as it is shown, it is touchable. Timer had some bugs fixed and received a face lift, legacy compatibility is retained for 3.9 API collars.

Updates are available through all official network vendors (the white ones), on Primbay, Marketplace, the Temple of the Collar and at Der Tempel des Collars. Please do acquire patches and updates from official sources and vendors.

NOTE: If you grabbed an all fresh collar and get a funky message "Unable to find specified agent to request permissions." don't worry, this just happens once when initially wearing the collar for the first time. It doesn't happen if you update your existing collar and only 1x on brand new ones.
